Johann Michael Willheit and his wife, Anna Maria Hengsteller, left Schwaigern, Württemberg, Germany around 1717 on a ship destined for Pennsylvania but diverted by its captain to Virginia. They may have been members of the Second Germanna Colonly as indentured servants of Governor Alexander Spotswood of Virginia.
