After you compile a family group sheet, pedigree chart, genealogy, or family history, check exact dates for accuracy and estimated dates to make sure they are reasonable!

For example, a group record says a woman with an estimated birth date of 1825 married in 1832.  She would have been seven years old in 1832, way too young to be marrying.

Simple mistakes in recording dates will cause readers to question the accuracy and reliability of everything else you publish or post.
