James Rasmussen
Researcher and Clerical Director
James was born in Bountiful, Utah but grew up in Western Colorado. He initially was interested in research related to the British Isles but has since expanded his experience to much of Latin America, Southern Europe, and the United States South, in particular difficult African American cases. He has also found a passion for DNA and loves using genetic evidence to break tough cases and brick walls. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors in Family History and Genealogy, with a minor in English in 2025. James loves to spend his free time golfing, reading, watching baseball and soccer, and talking about good books.
